Admission Process

Documents Required for Admission are:-
  • * Photo copy of birth certificate from the Municipality.
  • * Six Passport Size Photograph.
  • * Original Transfer Certificate.
  • * One Family Photograph.
  • * Photocopy of the report card of Previous class.
  • * Medical Certificate (Blood Group, Height, Weight, Vision etc.)
  • * Previous year income tax return.

 

SGGS Admission Process

After Registration candidates will  be notified the date of admission test and interview. The qualifying written test in English, math’s is held to assess the ability of the child for admission to a particular class followed by an interaction with the principal. As the medium of instruction is English an understanding of English as well as an average English speaking capability is a must for all applicant. Candidates qualifying in the test will be granted admission, subjected to the availability of the seats. No admission is granted unless all the requirements are fulfilled. The admission committee reserve the right to select the candidates, based on their performance in the written test, interview and their attitude, personality, intelligence and other capabilities. The decision of the admission committee will be final and binding in all the cases. If a candidate fails to appear in the admission interview, his/her registration will laps and the registration fee will be fortified. However, the admission committee may conduct a special test, in a genuine, if justified.

Once the candidate is selected, he/she is required to fulfill all the formalities and pay the necessary due/fee within a week of selection. If he/she fails to do so the school is free to offer the seat to another candidates without any prior notice.

 

SGGS Sr. Sec. School Year

The session starts from 1st April to 31st March with two semester as follows:

  • Formative assessment 1st April – May
  • Unit test -May
  • Summer Vacation – 1st June to 30th June
  • Formative Assessment II – July – August
  • Summative Assessment I – Second week of Sept. to fourth week of Sept.
  • Formative Assessment III – October-November
  • Unit test – November
  • Winter Vacation – (as per conditions)
  • Formative Assessment IV –  January & February
  • Monthly Test – January & February
  • Summative Assessment II – First week of March to Third week of March.

Examination/ Evaluation Promotion/ Report

The academic year is divided into two terms unit test are held through out the term of  develop regular study habits. The daily progress of the child as assessed and recorded. The final report and promotion is based on performance throughout the year.

Your world’s promotion to the next class is based on whole year’s progress. The weight age is given below:-

  • First term – F.A.1 , (10%) + F.A.2 , (10%) +SA1, (30%) = 50%
  • Second Term – F.A.3 , (10%) + F.A.4 , (10%) + S.A2. , (30%) = 50%
  • Formative Assessment – F.A.1 , (10%) + F.A.2 , (10%) + F.A.3 , (10%) + F.A.4 , (10%) = 40%
  • Summative Assessment – S.A.1 , (30%) + S.A.2 , (30%) = 60%
  1. If a student missed the test date due to absence, the test will not be conducted again.
  2. Student must obtain the qualifying grades (minimum grade D) in all the subjects under scholastic and co-scholastic domain.
